Camera and event rentals in Anthem

Anthem is thirty-five minutes up I-17 and about 700 feet higher than the counter, which changes the light and, in summer, the temperature. It is a planned community with a real civic calendar: the Veterans Memorial ceremony every November 11th at exactly 11:11am when the sun aligns through the pillars, Music in May at Community Park, and the Daisy Mountain Railroad looping the park.

Shooting in Anthem

The 11:11 ceremony, Daisy Mountain and the park.

Anthem shoots are event and community work first, trail and outdoor content second. Two bodies, a long lens, comms for a crew across a park and a gimbal for the Daisy Mountain Trail, delivered up the hill the morning of the shoot.

01

The Veterans Memorial and the November ceremony

Five white pillars in Community Park, aligned so the sun passes through them onto the Great Seal at 11:11am on Veterans Day. The ceremony is filmed every year, and it is a one-take event: two cameras, a long lens on the pillars, a wide on the crowd, clean audio off the podium, and no second chance. Reserve the kit early.

02

Trails, peaks and the outdoor brands

Daisy Mountain and Gavilan Peak host trail-running, fitness and outdoor-apparel content that shoots at dawn, and Daisy Mountain is State Trust Land, so the state permit comes first. A gimbal, a fast wide prime, a drone where the landowner allows, and batteries kept warm in winter and cool in summer. The elevation gives cleaner light and a little more time before the heat.

03

Outlets, clubs and the community calendar

Outlets North Phoenix on Anthem Way, the Anthem Golf and Country Club, and the concerts, the Market in the Park and holiday events at Community Park. Retail brand films, club promos and event coverage on a mirrorless body, a wireless lav and a monitor the client can watch.

The kit Anthem shoots pull

The Anthem event kit

A Sony A7 IV and an A7 III, the Vespid 125mm for the pillars and the Tamron 28-75mm for the crowd, a Zoom H6 taking the podium feed with a Sennheiser MKE 600 as the ambient track, the Hollyland six-headset comms so the two operators and the director can talk across the park, a DJI RS 3 for the trail follow, and a 17.3-inch broadcast monitor at the client's tent.

Good to know

Anthem questions, answered.

Weeks, not days. November is in the fall commercial season, the ceremony happens once, and the long lenses and comms systems it needs are the pieces every other November shoot wants too. Live availability shows you what is free; reserve the kit the moment your production is confirmed.

A little. Anthem sits around 1,900 feet, so winter mornings can be near freezing while the counter in Glendale is mild, and batteries drain faster in the cold. Summer is a few degrees cooler than the Valley floor. Either way, pack the spare V-mount and NP-FZ100 packs and keep them out of the extremes.

Yes. It is a thirty-five-minute run up I-17, and an early morning drop at a Parkside or Country Club address can be scheduled. Community Park is Anthem Community Council property, so clear the shoot with the council first. Reserve the day before at the latest so the gear is prepped overnight, and say where the crew will be and when.
