Drone rentals in Phoenix

Three aircraft, all DJI: the Mavic 4 Pro for productions that want the newest sensor and the longest flight time, and the Mavic 2 Pro and Air 2S Fly More combos for real estate, events and the establishing shot every Valley brand film opens on. Fly More combos ship with spare batteries and the charging hub, because a drone with one battery is a fifteen-minute rental.

What this shelf is for.

Arizona is a good place to fly and a strict one: Phoenix Sky Harbor, Luke Air Force Base and Glendale's own airport carve controlled airspace across the West Valley, and summer heat shortens flight time. The counter can talk through LAANC authorization and which of the 24 delivery cities sit under what airspace before you book the day.

  • DJI Mavic 4 Pro, Mavic 2 Pro and Air 2S
  • Fly More combos with spare batteries
  • For licensed Part 107 pilots on commercial work
  • Controlled airspace guidance for the West Valley

Good to know

Drones questions, answered.

For any commercial shoot the pilot needs an FAA Part 107 certificate, and the aircraft has to be registered and, where required, broadcasting Remote ID. The rental agreement puts the flight on the renter, so bring the certificate to the counter and plan the airspace before the day.

Usually. The counter on 57th Avenue sits outside controlled airspace at drone heights, so a Part 107 pilot needs no LAANC authorization there. Westgate and west Glendale are inside the Glendale airport's Class D, which runs on LAANC and approves a flight at a set ceiling in minutes. Luke Air Force Base's airspace farther west is not on LAANC: requests go through FAA DroneZone and can take weeks. On football game days State Farm Stadium carries a temporary no-fly zone.

Rated flight times drop noticeably above 100 degrees, and DJI aircraft will land themselves when a battery gets hot. Fly early, keep spare packs in the shade, and plan on two batteries for every one you would use in spring.
