Shooting in Apache Junction
A mountain, a ghost town and the Apache Trail.
Apache Junction orders are landscape and remote. Long glass for the mountain, a drone where the rules allow, a car mount for the Apache Trail, and a battery kit that assumes no outlet for a day. Because the drive is long, they are multi-day almost without exception, and the fourth day free is part of the quote before anyone asks.
The Superstitions at first light
Lost Dutchman State Park and the Flatiron above it. Landscape and tourism work shoots the sunrise silhouette from the Siphon Draw trailhead and the Treasure Loop, works the saguaro flats, and comes back for the last light on the cliffs. The Vespid 125mm for the mountain, the 16mm for the foreground, a solid tripod, a slider for the slow reveal, and batteries that spent the night in the car, not the cold.
Goldfield, the Apache Trail and the rolling shot
Goldfield Ghost Town on Mammoth Mine Road allows professional shoots with management's consent and gives you a working western set. Past it, the Apache Trail, a state-designated historic road, winds out to Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat. The Tilta Hydra car mount, wireless lens control and a chase-car monitor make the drive the shot.
Canyon Lake and the Dolly Steamboat
Canyon Lake's steep walls and the Dolly Steamboat tours are water and light in a desert. Boat shoots need a gimbal, a wide prime, a case that shrugs off spray, and spare cards and batteries because there is nowhere to charge between the marina and Tortilla Flat.

Same building: Influence Studios
Rent the gear. Book the stage. One roof.
The counter shares a nearly 10,000 sq ft building with Influence Studios: a 2,000 sq ft cyc wall, a 30 by 10 ft LED volume wall, a podcast suite and 16 standing sets across 9 studios, bookable by the hour from $49/hr. Studio time includes lighting and audio; cameras come from this shelf.
Good to know
Apache Junction questions, answered.
Arizona State Parks bans recreational drones in Lost Dutchman and reviews commercial flights only through its filming permit. The Superstition Wilderness beyond it is federal wilderness, where a drone cannot take off, land or be flown from, and the Forest Service asks pilots not to fly over it. Goldfield is private, so flight there is the owners' call, and the desert flats outside the park boundaries are mostly uncontrolled airspace. Know which line you are on.
Take two packs for every one you would use in the city and a dual charger on an inverter in the vehicle. Eight V-mount packs is a normal Apache Junction order for a cine body, a monitor and a transmitter over a sunrise-to-sunset day, plus spare cards, because there is no offloading at Tortilla Flat.
Yes, quoted as one of the longest East Valley runs, forty-four miles each way. Most productions here shoot several days and take one delivery and one collection, which the fourth day free largely offsets. Pickup at the Glendale counter is the alternative; US 60 runs almost door to door.
Extra batteries for a long Apache Junction day.
Live availability for your dates. Pick up at the Glendale counter or have it delivered to set.
