Shooting in Paradise Valley
Glass walls, estates and Camelback in the frame.
The work here is interiors and light. Great rooms with forty feet of glass and a mountain outside need lighting that lifts the room without blowing the view, and a slow camera move that says money. Paradise Valley orders are the Nova panels, the tube lights, the gimbal and the widest cine primes on the shelf.
Estate real estate on the mountain
Clearwater Hills, Cheney Estates and the homes on Mummy Mountain sell on film before anyone visits. A cine body on the RS 3 Pro, the Vespid 16 and 21mm for scale, Nova P600C panels balancing the room to the daylight outside, PavoTubes hidden in the architecture for the twilight shot, and a drone approach where the airspace and the neighbors allow.
Resort content along Lincoln Drive
Sanctuary, Mountain Shadows, El Chorro and the Hermosa Inn book hospitality films, culinary content and event coverage. Small crews, quiet gear, and lighting that flatters a plate and a pool deck: the 300 series through softboxes, a macro Vespid for the food, and a gimbal for the walk through the property.
Camelback Mountain as the backdrop
Phoenix's Film Office does not permit commercial filming or photo shoots on Camelback Mountain or at the Echo Canyon Trailhead, so the mountain works as a backdrop from the resorts and estates below it. Fitness, apparel and lifestyle content wants a gimbal, a fast wide prime, and a battery kit that survived the night in a cool bag. For the summit look, the Film Office suggests other desert parks that can stand in.

Good to know
Paradise Valley questions, answered.
Balance the room up to the window instead of fighting the window down. The Nova P600C bounced or through diffusion brings the interior within a stop or two of the daylight, and the P300C fills the shadows the architecture makes. Shoot the twilight pass with the PavoTubes as practicals and the view becomes the point of the frame.
Most of Paradise Valley sits beneath the floor of Sky Harbor's Class B airspace, in uncontrolled airspace, so a Part 107 flight below 400 feet needs no LAANC authorization; the northeast corner around Camelback Country Club Estates is inside Scottsdale Airport's Class D and does. The town takes privacy seriously either way. Fly with the owner's permission, keep the flight over the property, and expect neighbors to ask. A slider or a gimbal from the driveway is the fallback the counter recommends when the answer is no.
Yes. The driver calls ahead, checks in at the gate or the resort's loading area as instructed, and hands cased gear to your crew. Give the counter the gate code or the contact when you reserve, and schedule the pickup for after wrap so nobody drives to Glendale from Lincoln Drive at midnight.
