Camera and event rentals in Queen Creek

Queen Creek is an hour from the counter, the far southeast corner of the delivery map, and it is the Valley's farm-and-festival town. Schnepf Farms runs the Pumpkin and Chili Party every October and u-pick peaches in May, the Queen Creek Olive Mill produces food and tourism content by the week, and Horseshoe Park hosts rodeos, barrel racing and equestrian events that fill a long lens.

Shooting in Queen Creek

Farm festivals, an olive mill and the arena rail.

Distance shapes the order. Queen Creek productions rent for several days rather than driving back and forth, so the fourth day free and the seven-for-five week apply on most quotes, and the van makes one drop and one collection. Dust, heat and open sky shape the kit.

01

Schnepf Farms and the festival calendar

Pumpkin season, peach season and wedding weekends draw crowds and cameras to Schnepf Farms. Event coverage wants two bodies, a long lens for the stage, a gimbal in the crowd, comms for a spread-out crew, and a 12x12 frame with a rag to shoot an interview in the open field at noon. Everything comes home dusty; the cases are built for it.

02

The Olive Mill and food on the farm

Queen Creek Olive Mill's tours, tastings and kitchen book culinary content and brand films. The Vespid 90mm macro for the pour, soft Nova light for the plates, a slider for the slow push through the grove, and a wireless lav on the guide. Dawn in the olive rows is the shot; the gear arrives the day before.

03

Horseshoe Park and the equestrian events

Rodeos, barrel racing, horse shows and the events at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre on Riggs Road want high frame rates, long glass and a position behind the rail. The FX3 at 120 frames per second, the Vespid 125mm, a fluid-head tripod, and comms so the second operator knows which gate opens next.

Where productions work in Queen Creek

Town Center, the farms and the airpark.

Town Center, the farms on the east side and the airpark lots to the south are a long run apart, so the van plans one drop and one collection around each address.

The kit Queen Creek shoots pull

The Queen Creek farm and festival kit

A Sony FX3 and an A7S III for high frame rates, the Vespid 25, 50 and 125mm, an Aputure LS 1200D Pro through a 12x12 frame for the noon interview in the field, the Hollyland six-headset comms, a DJI RS 3 Pro, the DJI Air 2S for the farm plate, eight V-mount packs and the dual charger, a 17.3-inch monitor in the production tent, and hard cases against the dust. Multi-day, so the fourth day is free.

Good to know

Queen Creek questions, answered.

One drop and one collection, quoted by distance. Most Queen Creek productions rent for three to seven days, take delivery the afternoon before the first shoot day and hand the gear back when they wrap, so the van makes two trips total and the fourth day free covers a good part of the delivery.

Schnepf Farms is private land, so flight there is the farm's call. Mesa Gateway Airport's Class D covers the north half of town, Town Center included, so flights there need a LAANC authorization; the farms on the east side and the south end of town sit outside it, where a Part 107 pilot can usually fly without one. San Tan Mountain Regional Park is a county park, and county rules do not allow drones there.

The hard cases it ships in, and a few habits: change lenses in the car or the case, bag the bodies between setups, keep the frame's rag downwind of the crowd, and blow off everything before it goes back in the foam. The condition check at return is where a dusty shoot shows, so the case discipline pays for itself.
