Camera and lighting rentals in Surprise

Surprise is twenty-five minutes out Grand Avenue and Bell Road, and a little further to the new retail at Prasada on the Loop 303. It is a city of small businesses, spring training and fast-growing neighborhoods, and the rental orders reflect that: run-and-gun kits for a business owner's first brand video, event coverage at the stadium, and family and community work in Marley Park and Sun City Grand.

Shooting in Surprise

Two big-league clubs, Bell Road and Sun City Grand.

Because the drive is short and the shoots are often one-day, Surprise is where the weekend rate does the most work. Pick up Friday, shoot Saturday at the Recreation Campus or a Bell Road storefront, return Monday, pay for one day.

01

Spring training and the Recreation Campus

Surprise Stadium hosts two big-league clubs every spring, and the Recreation Campus around it runs tournaments and community events the rest of the year. Team content, sponsor pieces and tournament highlights all want a long lens, a gimbal and a wireless monitor, delivered to a credential gate at a set time.

02

Bell Road and Prasada business video

The Bell Road retail spine and the Village at Prasada are full of businesses ready for a first brand video: an owner interview, a product on a table, a walk through the space. A two-light kit, a lav and an A7 IV cover it, and the counter will tell you which two lights.

03

Community and family work

Marley Park's neighborhood parks, Sun City Grand's clubs and the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex host the community films, reunions and club promos that rent a mirrorless body and a softbox for a Saturday. It is the kit that fits in the trunk and books at the one-day weekend rate.

The Surprise small-business kit

Sony A7 IV with the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, a DJI Mic two-person wireless lav, an Aputure LS 300X bi-color through a softbox and a Nova P300C as fill, two C-stands with sandbags, and a 5-inch on-camera monitor. It shoots an owner interview and the b-roll of the shop in a morning, and it returns Monday for the price of one day.

Good to know

Surprise questions, answered.

Yes. Prasada is about ten minutes past the stadium on the 303, and the van covers it on the same run. Give the counter the storefront and a loading window when you reserve and the gear arrives cased and ready before the crew does.

Shoot early and late, and bring shade for the gear as well as the people. Cameras and batteries lose run time in 110 degree heat, so Surprise summer orders leave with an extra V-mount pack and a 12x12 frame with a rag to build a shade cell over talent and camera alike.

Yes. The counter times the delivery to your credential window and pulls the long lenses, gimbal and wireless monitor that stadium content needs. Access inside the gates runs on the production's passes, which the club issues, not the rental house.
