Camera and lighting rentals in Tempe
Tempe is thirty minutes down I-10 and the Loop 202, and with ASU's Tempe campus in town it is the Valley's college-town market. Arizona State's film and design schools turn out thesis films and capstone projects every semester, Mill Avenue and the Novus corridor shoot brand and startup content constantly, and Tempe Town Lake hosts the events, races and festivals that need a crew on the bridge.

Shooting in Tempe
Thesis films, Mill Avenue and the lake.
Tempe orders come in two sizes. The student package, a mirrorless body, a lav, two lights and a gimbal for a weekend at the one-day rate, and the corporate kit for Marina Heights and the Rio Salado towers, where the client expects a broadcast monitor and a crew that can hear each other.
ASU thesis films and student productions
Sidney Poitier New American Film School productions and design capstones shoot on real gear because the industry does. A Sony A7 III or FX3, the Tamron 28-75mm, a RODE Wireless GO II, an LS 300D and a Nova P300C, and a DJI RS 3. Rent Friday, shoot the weekend, return Monday, pay for one day.
Mill Avenue and the startup corridor
Mill Avenue District brand films, Novus Innovation Corridor startup content and the Maple-Ash neighborhood's music videos want a gimbal, fast glass and a small light package that fits in a car and sets up on a sidewalk in minutes. Clear any sidewalk or street work on Mill with the City of Tempe first.
Town Lake events and Marina Heights
Ironman Arizona in November, the Fourth of July fireworks, rowing and dragon boat regattas, and concerts at Tempe Beach Park, plus the corporate campuses at Marina Heights and Hayden Ferry Lakeside. Event coverage wants two bodies and a long lens on the Mill Avenue Bridge; corporate wants the interview kit, a broadcast monitor and comms.

Good to know
Tempe questions, answered.
The published day rates are the same for everyone, and the two discounts students use most are built into every order: pick up Friday and return Monday morning for one day's rate, and the fourth day free on any rental of four days or more. A thesis shoot planned around a weekend pays for one day of gear.
Usually. ASU sets the rules for filming on its campus, so clear the shoot with the university first, and ask the City of Tempe before putting stands or a crew on a Mill Avenue sidewalk or street. The gear rents the same either way; start the paperwork a week or two before the shoot.
Two bodies, one long lens on the Mill Avenue Bridge or the Beach Park stage and one wide on a gimbal in the crowd, a Zoom H6 off the stage board, and comms if the crew is spread along the shoreline. Deliveries time to the event's load-in window, and the van collects when the fireworks end.
Pick up Friday for a Tempe weekend shoot.
Live availability for your dates. Pick up at the Glendale counter or have it delivered to set.
